Public Debate on Noise Pollution in Cities

Public Debate on Sound Pollution is a debate aimed at raising awareness about noise pollution in urban environments. It arises from the need to denounce a specific case in the neighborhood of Les Fontetes in Cerdanyola del Vallès i Ripollet. This area, surrounded by industrial estates, crossed by a railway line, and flanked by the C-58 highway, is a clear example of dehumanized urban expansion. While paradigmatic, the case of Cerdanyola is not unique. Situations of acoustic saturation can be found in every municipality of the Metropolitan Area without exception.
